June 5, 1992 is my birthday.

My 28th birthday lands on a Friday this year. What a memorable year this has been so far. Although it has been a tough 6 months, it has still had its blessings.

I feel extremely blessed and grateful to have friends and family that want to celebrate. They love me so much that they go out of their way to make me feel special.

I definitely feel different this year for my birthday. I feel so grateful…like more than usual..its like a different level of gratitude. I thank God for that.

I thank God for giving me the gift of life for 28 years. Most of all, I am grateful for my relationship with God and how close of a bond we have. Moreover, I am grateful for my friends. Seriously, today, I teared up in the car because I thought about how amazing these special people in my life are. They are my people and I am theirs.

My family and I always had a love-hate relationship but I still feel grateful for them. My sister has gone out of her way to celebrate my birthday. I think she wants to celebrate my birthday more than I do.

I have had three cakes so far.

I have a weekend full of surprises.

Happy Birthday to me.

My birthday resolution is to find peace in every aspect of my life and continue to stand up for what I believe in.
